Fairy tales are important--
not because they suggest that witches and dragons exist, but because they remind us evil will be defeated.
I'm a wife and mother who writes in corners-- both of the house and of the day.
I tend to be very content and don't often apologize for it.
"I think this is
the prettiest world-- so long as you don’t mind a little dying..."
This is what the LORD says:
Stand by the roadways and look.
Ask about the ancient paths:
Which is the way to what is good?
Then take it
and find rest for yourselves.

He’s a Russian Blue mix, with the fabulous coat and narrow (oriental?) body-type. The shelter worker who gave him his microchip guessed he was 5 or 6 years old.
That sort of explains how mellow he is. At first I thought I wanted a more playful, interactive cat, but then as I had this guy around for the week I realized this less-needy pattern was much better for our life-style.
He stays– lounging– out of the way until a nap or reading time (stillness) when he’ll come sauntering out to see if there’s anything to do, or attention to collect.
We are all enjoying him very much.

He’s so handsome. You know I’m a sucker for gray cats.
