This is a terribly difficult time, and you are probably buried in decisions you never wanted to make.

If having someone else craft the verbal portrait of your loved one will help, I will do everything I can to fit these unplanned assignments into my schedule. If all the pieces are in place, I will do the work for half my regular fee ($75 instead of $150), up to 500 words.

This is the length of the basic obituary in our local newspaper.

A full obituary will take more time and interviews, so the earlier notice I have, the better, along with names and numbers of the individuals who will be providing information.

Length of these will vary, and for the present my rate is still reduced for this situation, down to $350.
