Memorization. My daughter started when we started our homeschool- she was 6. My son, 3yo, is already doing memory work. All memory work really is repeating something again and again until you have it memorized.

Don’t get me wrong, our 3yo is not doing formal memory work but we say our prayers at meals and bedtime and he says them with us. There’s no wrong age to begin memorization, kids are natural – in 6 months your child will say, “Mom, remember when so-and-so happened?” and you’ll be searching your mind for something that is vivid to the child. Songs, prayers, poems are all very easily memorized.
