Memorization. My daughter started when we started our homeschool- she was 6. My son, 3yo, is already doing memory work. All memory work really is repeating something again and again until you have it memorized. 

Don&#039;t get me wrong, our 3yo is not doing formal memory work but we say our prayers at meals and bedtime and he says them with us. There&#039;s no wrong age to begin memorization, kids are natural - in 6 months your child will say, &quot;Mom, remember when so-and-so happened?&quot; and you&#039;ll be searching your mind for something that is vivid to the child. Songs, prayers, poems are all very easily memorized.
